Elizabeth Donovan is a board-certified physician assistant (PA), licensed in Maryland and D.C., with over 25 years of experience caring for general surgery patients in the office, the hospital and assisting in the operating room.  She is formally trained to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical, and preventative care in collaboration with our surgeons. She brings extensive clinical and procedural experience to the care of our patients.

PA Donovan graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology from the University of Maryland before completing her PA training graduating Summa Cum Laude from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in 1990.  She went on to earn a Master of Science in PA Studies from Pace University in 2021.

 

She is certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants and an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Maryland Academy of Physician Assistants and certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.  PA Donovan is a published author in the Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Elizabeth was born and raised in Beaver, Pennsylvania and has been a resident of Montgomery County for 38 years.  Her outside interests include baking, fitness, writing and teaching pre-PA and PA students.
